Bethany Bernthal Reindel
2025 Edelweiss Recipient
Bethany Bernthal Reindel has been named the recipient of the 2025 Edelweiss Award.
Upon being notified of the award, Beth stated that she was surprised, excited and
honored that she was chosen. “When I think about the women who have been
recognized in the past, I am humbled and blessed to be a part of this exclusive group”.
Beth serves on the City Council and is the Council’s liaison on the Frankenmuth Civic
Events Council, sharing her knowledge of Frankenmuth and its history to help ensure
the success of the Council’s activities which includes the annual Bavarian Festival..
Her activity in the community spans decades and seems endless. Beth has a passion
for keeping the German culture and the city’s history alive and relevant. She has
chaired the German Heritage Committee, been treasurer of the Frankenmuth Sister City
Committee and served as the German Exchange Program Director.
She has been involved for years in the government and economic development of
Frankenmuth, the Great Lakes Bay Region, and is a past president of Saginaw Futures.
She offers her expertise as a member of the Grant Review Committee of the
Frankenmuth Community Foundation and is the President of the St. Lorenz
Foundation’s Board of Directors. She also participates in 100 Women Who Care,
Frankenmuth’s Finance and Audit Committee, City Beautification Committee and the St.
Lorenz Heritage Committee. As a retired GM/Delphi executive, she serves on the
national board of the Delphi Salaried Retirees Association.
Beth will be honored at a luncheon on May 7, 2025. Guests are welcome to attend.

Please help the Frankenmuth Women’s Club identify and recognize the outstanding efforts of a woman who has made a significant or ongoing contribution to the Frankenmuth
community. She should be distinguished by her contributions within the areas of education, civic development and/or social improvement. Previously submitted nominations may be updated, rather than entirely resubmitted, by contacting a committee member for a copy of the original form. Posthumous recognition will also be considered.
The recipient will be announced in May and formally recognized at the Frankenmuth
Women’s Club Meeting on May 7, 2025. At the meeting a donation of $1000.00 will be presented to the Frankenmuth Community Foundation in the recipient’s honor, designated to the cause of her choice. A plaque commemorating the Edelweiss Award Winner will be on display at the Wickson Memorial Library.
